What airport do I fly into? Cancun!

Should I exchange money before leaving? If you want, but you can also exchange money at the airport or at a local exchange counter in Tulum. Bring plenty of cash though as ATMs are said to be limited in Tulum.

What about bank and credit cards? Give your bank a quick call and ask them whether your card can be used abroad and what sort of fees they may charge.

How much money should I take? This really depends on your vacation spending habits. Do you splurge or keep is reasonable? Are you planning on drinking beer or wine with every meal? Shopping a bunch or keeping it thrifty? I would budget by day, anywhere from $50-$100 although you could get by on less.

Can I use my phone? It really depends on the carrier, but it's worth checking out ahead of time. There may only be a small daily fee making it perfectly reasonable for you to continue using your phone throughout the retreat.

Is there wifi? Yep!

How do I get from the airport to the villa? There's a couple options. Bus, taxi or private van. Once we know your arrival time, we can arrange transportation for you. If you'd like to share with other retreat guests, it will make your ride a bit cheaper.

What kind of power adapter do I need? You probably don't need one. Most outlets are standard two prong like in the U.S. and Canada, but I'm going to confirm our situation at the villa so sit tight!

Are there any special vaccines I need for Mexico? Talk to your doctor and check your home country's travel advisory website. It's always a good idea to make sure you’re up to date with all your routine immunizations.

How do I go about buying travel insurance? I highly recommend this website. Estimates for any trip are quick and easy and the policy is clearly explained as well. Please be familiar with your travel insurance coverage before coming on the trip.
